The purpose of this site is to provide software for analysis, displays and other information relating to bowling ball motion. Although It is intended for the serious bowler, casual players might find this site useful, too. A software program is offered which provides an accurate visual display of bowling ball paths and motion under a wide variety of bowler delivery and lane conditions. This program is easy to use and is now available for purchase (For details click CATALOG button at left). Mathematical or scientific knowledge is not required, but the bowler using this software should be familiar with running applications under Windows. The program describes only what happens to the ball motion after the ball leaves the bowler’s hand. What went on. prior to that depends on the bowler’s technique, which is a separate subject. Also, what happens when the ball reaches the pin deck (pin action) is a complex subject not covered here. Additional informative bowling software is contemplated, but not yet programmed. your patience is appreciated.
Technical Note: The algorithms used in the software are based on classical rigid body vector analysis as it applies to balls which roll and slide on a plane surface. (Technical details relating to this analysis of bowling ball motion are available on request
